Brymo’s latest album, Yellow, has yet another good track – Ozymandias, which talks about what most countries are facing today.
Ozymandias was a mighty Egyptian King – Rameses 11. Ozymandias was his Greek name, he ruled Egypt from 1279-1213 BC. His rule was out of fear and dictatorship but his statue was destroyed after his rule passed away. In 1818, Percy Bysshe Shelley, a poet wrote a poem about the ruins of a statue of Rameses II, Ozymandias. Brymo in his Ozymandias lyrics points out the fact that even the fiercest dictator will someday fall and history will forget him/her. He also hinted on how mediocre systems lead to anarchy.
Check out Brymo’s Ozymandias lyrics.
Verse 1
I used to have two vices
Smoking jane and eating coochie
These days I just lose the count
The universe is generous to highs, glorious.
Chorus
Ozymandias, Ozymandias
History forgets all, Ozymandias
Ozymandias, Ozymandias
Hubris destroys us, Ozymandias
Verse 2
And the hypocrisy
How I know the rules easy
How I break’em as I choose
Taking the love and keeping her confused
Chorus
Ozymandias, Ozymandias
History forgets all, Ozymandias
Ozymandias, Ozymandias
Hubris destroys us, Ozymandias
Hook
And the people
shall no longer
settle, for mediocre systems
In the street, they’re singing
Sounds about anarchy and war
Its time for the new, the old rule must go

This happens to be the most accurate lyrics. Thanks
You’re welcome monk
Not hill breeze though. It is “Hubris” destroy all Ozymandias. Hubris means excessive pride. And according to Ozymandias who was excessively proud, it fits in.
This is one of the best songs from the yellow album..
It’s so packed with greatness..if one study each line.
Ozymandiaz is worth a Grammy.
You’re absolutely right Vidson.
Nice try at the lyrics, however, it is ”smoking jane and eating coochies” (Jane i.e. MaryJane [another name for weed)
Thanks E.
