Mark Wahlberg just made his boldest real estate move yet, snagging a stunning lakefront estate in Florida’s exclusive Stone Creek Ranch for $37 million. The seven-bedroom Italian-inspired mansion, known as “Palazzo di Lago,” closed in October 2025 and marks the actor’s first Florida property. He secured it for a cool $8 million below the asking price of $45 million.

The 26,000-square-foot compound sits in Delray Beach’s “Billionaires Row,” joining an elite roster of mega-mansions that have recently traded hands for record-breaking prices.

The property’s recent history reveals just how explosive South Florida’s luxury market has become.

Developer Aldo Stark of Prestige Design Homes purchased the estate in January 2025 for $26 million. Within 9 months, he’d transformed the property entirely and flipped it to Wahlberg for $37 million. That’s an $11 million profit before you even factor in renovation costs (which sources estimate around $5 million for custom furniture and European finishes alone).

Stark has over 25 years of experience developing ultra-luxury themed estates in South Florida; he’s the designer behind Stone Creek Ranch’s most expensive properties. His portfolio includes “Villa Spectre” (sold for $55 million in November 2024) and “Casa Maranello” ($50.5 million in January 2025). Combined, his three major projects have generated sales exceeding $140 million, consecutively setting price records in the community.

For the Palazzo di Lago, Stark reimagined the entire estate from its original “Sundara” Bali-inspired design (think Buddha statues and Zen aesthetics) into a Lake Como glamour palace with James Bond sophistication.

The renovation was rare walnut cabinetry throughout the chef’s kitchen, mother-of-pearl inlay floors in the primary suite, high-gloss Brazilian Guyana wood hallways, and a hidden cigar lounge with state-of-the-art air purification tucked behind an office door.

The colour palette shifted from Zen whites to moody European tones of mocha, burnt sienna, and soft beige. He added a club room with a sophisticated bar, cinema-grade theatre, and an auto gallery designed for exotic vehicles. Pretty impressive turnaround, right?

While $37 million sounds astronomical to most of us, real estate experts confirm Wahlberg actually scored an exceptional value. Comparable estates in nearby Palm Beach command anywhere from $80 million to $150 million. That means he’s essentially paying 60-75% less for equivalent quality, privacy, and amenities.

The timing couldn’t be better. Stone Creek Ranch has seen sales skyrocket from $19 million in 2021 to $55 million in late 2024. With two additional properties reportedly in development with expected list prices of $75 million and $100 million, Wahlberg positioned himself early in the community’s upward trajectory.

Market analysts project the property could appreciate to $42-48 million within three to five years, representing potential gains of 13-30% on an already discounted entry price. Not bad for a place you actually get to live in while it appreciates.

The estate’s Italian name translates to “Palace on the Lake,” and it lives up to the billing. Sitting on a 2.7-acre peninsula within Stone Creek Ranch’s 187-acre gated enclave, the property offers expansive lakefront views and resort-level amenities that would make most five-star hotels jealous.

The two-story foyer sets the tone with 30-foot ceilings, marble-clad, illuminated water fountains flanking the entrance, and custom crystal chandeliers that create what the listing materials call an “ethereal glow.” The grand salon continues the soaring ceiling treatment with expansive walls of glass that blur the line between interior luxury and tranquil lake views.

Brazilian Guyana wood panelling (with that perfect high-gloss finish) creates rich, tactile flow throughout hallways connecting the home’s distinct zones. It’s the kind of detail work that separates a mansion from a house.

Let’s talk about the outdoor entertainment complex. The 170,000-gallon lagoon-style saltwater pool is on par with a commercial resort. We’re talking cascading water features, an elevated lounge area with an oversized jacuzzi, and multiple poolside cabanas.

One fully outfitted cabana includes a private bathroom, full kitchen, and bar area designed for wood-fired dinners and champagne toasts under the stars. Strategic custom lighting transforms the entire 2.7-acre property into what agents describe as a “dreamlike resort by night.” Translation: it looks even more incredible after dark.

The private cinema rivals professional screening rooms with plush seating and state-of-the-art audio-visual systems. Perfect for Wahlberg to screen his latest projects without leaving home.

A temperature-controlled wine cellar features illuminated shelving and mahogany-rich tones with an integrated tasting area. The hidden cigar lounge (accessed discreetly through an office) includes advanced air purification, allowing comfortable smoking without compromising air quality throughout the home.

The club room features a dramatic backlit bar and pool table for both lavish gatherings and intimate entertaining. There’s also an oversized outdoor chess board with life-size pieces, because why not?

The master bedroom situation deserves special mention. We’re talking dual spa bathrooms with mother-of-pearl inlaid floors, boutique-style dressing rooms with double-height shelving inspired by Chanel stores, and a hidden safe room (very James Bond) for security.

Italian grey marble flows throughout the chef’s kitchen, while glowing white agate features accent the breakfast room. Every detail reinforces the European elegance fused with Palm Beach sophistication that Stark was aiming for.

Beyond the glamorous stuff, the estate actually functions brilliantly for a large family. Seven bedrooms and 12 bathrooms provide plenty of space for Wahlberg’s four children. Two executive offices support work-from-home needs (one with direct backyard access for workout breaks).

A wellness wing flows from a state-of-the-art gym to sauna to massage room, then seamlessly connects to outdoor spaces, including a lighted tennis court. This aligns perfectly with Wahlberg’s rigorous fitness regimen and his 3:30 AM wake-up routine.

The seven-car auto gallery has a typical garage functionality, presenting vehicles in an air-conditioned display setting. A separate golf cart enclave handles community transportation, while a fully equipped guesthouse accommodates visiting family or live-in staff.

Stone Creek Ranch isn’t your typical gated community. With only 37 ultra-luxury estates spread across 187 acres. Over $150 million in sales occurred in the past two years alone. Notable residents include Steven Cohen, billionaire hedge fund manager and New York Mets owner, who purchased a 21,000-square-foot home for $21.6 million in 2021.

Celebrity interest surged in 2024-2025, with Alicia Keys, The Weeknd, and Lionel Messi all touring properties in the enclave.

Wahlberg’s move from California to Florida represents more than just a lifestyle change. It’s a wealth preservation strategy. Florida has no state income tax, which for someone in Wahlberg’s income bracket (estimated net worth of around $400 million) translates into millions in savings annually compared to California’s top tax rate of 13.3%.

This purchase came just months after Wahlberg sold his former Beverly Hills mega-mansion to Paris Hilton for $63.1 million in June 2025.
