Apostle Arome Osayi is a Nigerian pastor, author, and founder of Remnant Christian Network (RCN), one of the country’s fastest-growing apostolic movements. Born on December 2, 1977, in Makurdi, Benue State, the 47-year-old minister has built a global ministry spanning four continents. His teaching focuses on prayer, spiritual altars, and what he calls “the rebirth of apostolic Christianity.”
What sets him apart? Perhaps it’s his unconventional journey from a childhood speech impediment to becoming one of Nigeria’s most influential preachers. Or maybe it’s the way he balances profound theological teaching with practical spiritual application, attracting hundreds of thousands of followers across social media platforms.
Biography
Arome Israel Osayi came into the world with a significant challenge. He was born with facial palsy that caused speech impairment and partial facial paralysis, making communication difficult throughout his early years. His parents, Late Chief Paul Ameh Osayi (a civil servant) and Mrs. Mary Memuna Osayi (a career nurse), raised seven children in Makurdi despite the family’s Kogi State origin and Igala ethnicity.
His spiritual journey began at age seven when he attended a Sunday school session at ECWA 1 Makurdi Barracks Road. That’s where he gave his life to Christ. But the defining moment came around age 12 or 13, when he experienced what he describes as a divine encounter. During this revelation, he saw himself taken to heaven, standing on a mountain watching people heading to hell. This vision wasn’t just spiritually transformative. It coincided with his miraculous healing from facial palsy.
The healing changed everything. His tongue was loosened, his speech cleared, and at just 13 years old, he began preaching. That’s remarkably young, even in Pentecostal circles where child preachers occasionally emerge. His early influences included the writings of Chinese church leader Watchman Nee and the ministry messages of Benny Hinn, though he credits Rev. Pita Momoh Edwards of Sanctuary of Mercy with orienting his ministry approach.
Despite his early calling, Osayi didn’t abandon conventional education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Benue State University in October 2002, then completed his mandatory National Youth Service Corps in Kano State. From 2004 to 2020, he worked for 16 years at the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) as a pioneer staff member. This secular employment supported him while he built RCN’s foundation through early morning and evening services.
Career
Osayi formally launched Remnant Christian Network in December 2006 at age 29. For 14 years, he operated the ministry while maintaining full-time secular employment, only transitioning to ministry work in 2020. Today, RCN operates from a stunning 4,500-capacity headquarters in Makurdi known as the RCN Embassy, dedicated in November 2021 after approximately one year of construction.
Beyond Makurdi, RCN maintains over 13 branches across Nigeria, spanning Lagos, Warri, Edo, Kaduna, Kano, Gombe, Ibadan, Obudu, Jalingo, Abia, Abuja, Calabar, and Akwa Ibom. International expansion accelerated in 2023 with formal incorporation in England (February 24, 2023) and the establishment of a London base at Cavendish Square. California’s Anaheim branch, Ghana’s prayer tent in Accra, and Canadian operations complete the transcontinental footprint.
His teaching ministry extends far beyond Sunday services. More than 1,000 recorded sermons spanning 2012 to 2024 are accessible through RCN’s official platforms, with weekly Monday updates. His Instagram account has grown to 377,000 followers, while his YouTube channel surpasses 430,000 subscribers. One 2023 message alone garnered over 622,000 views. He also maintains daily podcasts on Apple Podcasts and Spotify titled “From Faith to Faith by Apostle Arome Osayi.”
Osayi’s written works include several influential titles. His latest book, “A Treatise on Christian Ministry: Making the Most of God’s Command, Methods and Resources in Life and Ministry,” was published in May 2024. Earlier works include “Decimating Demonic Devices,” “Birthing His Excellence,” “Choice: Man’s Most Important Power,” “Go Into All The World,” and the Kingdom Recalibration series (now available as a Legacy Edition 2-in-1 volume). These books are available through Amazon and Christian bookstores across multiple countries.
The ministry’s annual calendar revolves around major conferences. The International Eagles Conference, held each May, serves as RCN’s flagship gathering. The 2024 edition focused on “The Life of Prayer,” while 2025’s conference (scheduled for May 19-25) shifts to “Faith Adventure.” Other significant events include the Festival of Glory each November, the 40 Days Fasting and Prayer program each January, and various regional conferences across Nigeria and internationally.
In December 2024, shortly after his 47th birthday, Osayi received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Missiology, Social Engagement and Advocacy from ECWA Theological Seminary (JETS) in Jos, Plateau State. The ceremony included attendance by Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom. However, the award sparked controversy when critics challenged the decision, prompting a robust defence from JETS administration, who emphasised their “established traditions and due processes.”
Osayi has also raised several prominent ministers who acknowledge him as spiritual father, including Apostle Michael Orokpo (founder of The Covenant Place) and Apostle Edu Udechukwu (founder of Dominion City). This apostolic structure extends his influence beyond direct RCN operations. Interestingly, Osayi himself maintains that he is in submission to Rev. Dr John Akpami as his spiritual father.
Personal Life
Apostle Arome Osayi married Rev. Mrs Dinna Ololade Osayi in October 2008. His wife is a ministry leader in her own right with impressive credentials. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (2006), and attended Regina Pacis College in Abuja for secondary education.
Rev. Dinna founded the Deborah Intercessory Network, training women in intercession and prayer through citywide women’s crusades and specialised teaching sessions. She’s also the proprietor of Light House Academy Group of Schools in Makurdi, maintaining an independent educational enterprise while co-pastoring RCN. Her Instagram presence reaches over 68,000 followers, demonstrating her own ministry influence. She celebrated her 44th birthday in 2024.
The couple publicly renewed their wedding vows in November 2022 after 14 years of marriage, with the ceremony officiated by Rev. Gideon Odoma at RCN facilities.
The Osayis have three children. Earlier sources mentioned only two named children, Joshua (son) and Esther (daughter), but official RCN sources from 2024-2025 consistently confirm three children. This suggests a third child was born between 2022 and 2024. The family maintains privacy regarding specific ages and activities, with the third child’s name not publicly disclosed.
Net Worth

Apostle Arome Osayi’s net worth is unknown because there are no public financial disclosures or audited statements available for verification.
However, estimates peg it at $200,000 as it reflects multiple income streams: tithes and offerings from over 13 Nigerian branches plus international locations, book sales through global distributors, conference registration and speaking fees, Voice of One TV operations, Adullam Seminary tuition, hospital facility revenues, and hostel accommodations for retreat guests.
The 4,500-capacity RCN Embassy is a significant capital investment, built within one year according to Osayi’s statements. The integrated hospital, TV station infrastructure, hostel facilities, and administrative offices required substantial funding, suggesting either strong donor support, accumulated ministry resources, or both.
As RCN expands internationally into Ghana, the UK, the US, and Canada, the ministry diversifies its donor base beyond Nigeria’s economy. However, larger facilities and global operations also increase operational costs for staff salaries, building maintenance, technology infrastructure, and program coordination.
Notably, no financial scandals, moral failures, or ethical violations have emerged in recent years.
