3. Advertising, analytics and tracking

We use the services below to show ads, count visits and measure our own ads. Each of them may set cookies or use similar technology in your browser.

3.1 Google AdSense (ads)

We show ads from Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this website or to other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let Google and its partners show you ads based on your visits to our site and other sites on the internet.

You can turn off personalised ads in Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some other vendors’ cookies at www.aboutads.info. To learn more, read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google shows you a consent message first, and you can choose how your data is used for ads.

Some quizzes offer an optional “50:50” button. If you tap it, Google may show you a short rewarded ad. Watching it is always your choice, and the quiz works without it.

3.2 Google Analytics (visit statistics)

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found us. This helps us improve the site. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

3.3 TikTok Pixel (measuring our TikTok ads)

Our quiz pages use the TikTok Pixel. It tells us when someone who came from one of our TikTok ads views a quiz page or starts a quiz, so we can see whether our ads work. TikTok may link this to your TikTok account under its own privacy policy. You can manage ad personalisation in your TikTok app settings.

3.4 Quiz statistics

Our quizzes count plays, answers, scores and shares as anonymous totals. We do not ask for your name and we do not link your answers to you. Your IP address is only used, in a scrambled form that expires within a day, to stop spam from counting twice. If you leave a quiz halfway, your progress is saved in your own browser so you can carry on later. You can clear it by clearing your browser data.

4. Cookies

Our website uses cookies. For more information about cookies, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

5. Disclosure practices

We disclose personal information if we are required by law or by a court order, in response to a law enforcement agency, to the extent permitted under other provisions of law, to provide information, or for an investigation on a matter related to public safety.

If our website or organisation is taken over, sold, or involved in a merger or acquisition, your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchasers and will be passed on to the new owners.
