He grew up in Naperville. His dad, Walter Odenkirk, worked in a printing business, and his mom, Barbara Odenkirk, had Irish and German roots. Bob had six siblings.
His parents got divorced because of his dad’s drinking problems. This made Bob want to stay away from alcohol. His dad passed away in 1986 due to bone cancer.
