The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Alma Grace Baptista Evans, on October 24, 2025, in Massachusetts.
According to reports, the newborn has been given both her mother’s and father’s surnames, “Baptista Evans.” The first name, “Alma,” carries resonance: in Portuguese and Spanish, it means “soul,” a thoughtful nod to Alba’s Portuguese heritage.
Evans and Baptista have long held their relationship under wraps, choosing privacy over public spectacle. The pair began being linked in early 2022, and by November of that year, a source confirmed they’d been dating for over a year. They tied the knot in September 2023 during an intimate ceremony on Cape Cod, Mass.
For Evans, fatherhood was never a distant aim. In earlier interviews, the actor openly spoke of his desire to build a family, his wife, children, and traditions. He once reflected:
“That’s absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family.”
A source confirmed to PEOPLE that Evans “got serious very quickly” after meeting Baptista for the first time in Europe. “He kept saying he knew she was the one.”
