Drew Patrick Allar, born on March 8, 2004, grew up in Medina, Ohio, with his parents Kelvin and Dawn, alongside his sister Ryann. He went to Medina High School, where, even as a sophomore, he became the starting quarterback.
During his time there, he threw for 1,802 yards and 23 touchdowns in his sophomore year, followed by 2,962 yards and 26 touchdowns in his junior season.
As a senior, he had impressive stats, completing 305 of 509 pass attempts (59.9%) for 4,444 yards and 48 touchdowns, along with rushing for 406 yards and nine touchdowns.
He received the honor of Ohio Mr. Football after the season ended, amassing a total of 9,103 yards and 98 touchdowns with 20 interceptions throughout his high school career.
After high school, Allar joined Penn State for college.

Drew Allar joined Penn State’s football team early in January 2022. He started as the backup quarterback for the Nittany Lions in the 2022 season.
