In 1952, he moved to Chicago and changed his name to Mike Agassi. Later, he moved to Las Vegas and trained his son, Andre Agassi, to become a world-class tennis player.
He also coached his other children, Rita, Phillip, and Tami, in tennis, but they did not pursue professional careers. He wrote an autobiography called The Agassi Story in 2004. Sadly, he passed away on September 24, 2021, at the age of 90, in Las Vegas.
