Janet Sorce Husband
Janet Sorce’s husband, Don Geronimo, born Michael L. Sorce, began his radio career at the tender age of 13, initially working at a local AM station in Maryland. Despite early setbacks, Geronimo’s persistence and talent landed him roles at WLS-FM and WBBM-FM in Chicago during the 1980s.
He married his first wife, Freda Wright-Sorce, in 1981 and had two children with her.
By 1985, he returned to the Washington, D.C. area, hosting at WAVA-FM before moving to WJFK-FM in 1991. Here, he formed a successful partnership with Mike O’Meara on the syndicated “Don and Mike Show,” which ran until Geronimo’s retirement on April 11, 2008. Mike O’Meara continued the show in his absence.
After his initial retirement, Geronimo returned to the industry several times, navigating periods of success and turmoil. He expressed discontent with the direction of radio broadcasting after high-profile incidents such as the Janet Jackson Super Bowl event. Despite these challenges, he maintained a significant presence in the industry, eventually hosting a show on 1140 The Fan 1140 KHTK (AM), Sacramento.

However, his career faced a significant setback in July 2023 when he was fired from WBIG for making derogatory comments about a female reporter.
