Chadwick Boseman: The Hero Who Fought a Secret Battle
The Black Panther star who was loved by many died on the 28th of August, 2020 at his Los Angeles home.
He was born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina. Although he’s famous for being an actor, Chadwick didn’t start as a movie actor.
After he graduated from Howard University, he began his career in theater. His global recognition came after he played the Marvel Comics Superhero “Black Panther” from 2016 to 2019.
Chadwick Boseman, known for his iconic role as Black Panther, passed away on August 28, 2020. His death shocked the world as he had privately battled colon cancer for four years. Boseman continued to work on groundbreaking films during his treatments, exhibiting the resilience and determination of a true superhero. At 43, he left a lasting legacy.
Cause of Death:
Chadwick Boseman died in 2020 from Colon cancer. His family revealed after his death that he was diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer in 2016. He battled this disease until it progressed to stage IV which he ultimately died from.
Although Chadwick was suffering from this disease, he never revealed his condition to the media. He kept it hidden and went on to feature in his biggest movie ever “Black Panther”. Furthermore, he earned his first Academy Award for best actor for his role in the movie Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. During the period of producing the movie, Chadwick was in between treatment appointments and receiving chemotherapy.
His death came as a shock to many as no one except his family and a few close friends knew about his condition. He died in his home with his wife and children at his side at the age of 43.
