He managed to escape a police convoy in Warsaw in July 1992, and a few months later, he eluded a police raid in Krakow.

He was eventually caught in February 1993 in Żoliborz, Warsaw, while using a false passport and escaping from police custody. He was sentenced to two years in prison but was released in February 1994, ostensibly for good behavior, though rumors persisted that he had bribed Prison Service officers.

Nikos Skotarczak was fatally shot by two masked assailants inside the “Las Vegas” escort agency located at ul. Chwarznieńska 170a in Gdynia. Despite an examination by the Gdansk District Prosecutor’s Office, no conclusive results were ever found.
It is believed that Nikos’ death was linked to his feud with individuals from the Przko group, as suggested in the testimony of a crown manager, Jaroslav Sokoo, also known as “Masa.” He is survived by his children, Piotr Skotarczak and Natalia Skotarczak.
