Suge Jacob Knight is a licensed real estate agent, entertainment executive, and reality television personality who’s built a multifaceted career whilst navigating the complex legacy of being Marion “Suge” Knight’s third child. Born on December 10, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, the now 30-year-old has established himself in celebrity real estate, television, and music entrepreneurship.

Biography

Jacob’s story begins with a relationship that raised eyebrows from the start. His mother, Stormey Ramdhan, was just 17 when she became engaged to Suge Knight Sr., who was approximately 30 at the time. She gave birth to Jacob just a couple of months after turning 18, and the relationship didn’t last long beyond that point. Stormey essentially raised Jacob as a single parent after her engagement to Suge Sr. ended when their second child was born.

Growing up in Los Angeles, Jacob comes from an extensive family tree. He has one full sibling, Sosa Esai Knight, born in 2002, making him about seven years younger. Sosa studied directing at The Los Angeles Film School and now runs his own film production company.

Through his father’s various relationships, Jacob has several half-siblings including Taj Knight (born around 1991), Arion Knight, Bailei Knight (born November 2002 to R&B singer Michel’le), Legend Knight, Posh Knight, and Andrew Knight.

Jacob attended Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, where he made his mark as a standout running back on the football team. His athletic and academic performance caught the attention of prestigious institutions including Harvard University and Howard University. He chose to enrol at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he studied JavaScript and computer coding whilst working as a tutor.

However, Jacob never graduated from Fisk. When his father was arrested in 2015 for a hit-and-run incident that would eventually land him a 28-year prison sentence, the family’s finances were drained by mounting legal costs. Most of the money went to lawyers, forcing Jacob to drop out despite his academic progress. It’s a turning point that still shapes his life today.

Career

Jacob’s most visible professional achievement is his career as a licensed real estate agent. He currently works at Coldwell Banker Realty from their Hillhurst Avenue office in Los Angeles, having accumulated years of experience as of 2025.

His journey into real estate began in 2019 when he started as a trainee under mentor Tai Savet at the Agents of LA brokerage firm. That same year marked a significant turning point, not only did he get his California real estate licence, but he was also cast on VH1’s Love & Listings, a reality show that would bring his work to a national audience.

The show followed young real estate agents navigating Los Angeles’s competitive celebrity property market. Jacob appeared in two seasons totalling 16 episodes between 2019 and 2020, where he was portrayed as a young man determined to forge his own path whilst repairing his family’s legacy.

Beyond real estate, he’s the founder and CEO of OverKnight Entertainment, an independent record label and entertainment consulting agency he started with nothing more than a MacBook, GarageBand software, and a roster of talented artists. The company aims to discover emerging musicians whilst providing consulting services, and it’s reportedly developing a dating show called For The Streets.

He’s also launched New Death Row Records, an independent label created to honour his father’s legacy whilst operating autonomously. The venture includes merchandise sales through pop-up shops in Los Angeles, featuring updated Death Row logos on hats, sweaters, and crewnecks.

His television work extends beyond Love & Listings. He appeared on BET’s Death Row Chronicles in 2018, a six-part documentary about the label his father founded, and has made multiple appearances on Hollywood Unlocked with Jason Lee Uncensored. He also served as music supervisor for Love & Listings, cleverly using the platform to promote OverKnight Entertainment artists.

Personal Life

Jacob became a father on November 6, 2019, when his daughter Sunset Alina Knight was born. His girlfriend Angie, who owns a floral design company called The Rose Clique, gave birth after Jacob announced the pregnancy via Instagram with a gender reveal video in June 2019.

On Love & Listings, Jacob credited Angie with making him “more structured” than his peers, though he expressed hesitation about marriage at the time. “I’m only 23,” he told co-stars. “It’s too early for all that big stuff.” Their current relationship status as of 2024-2025 remains unconfirmed, and there are no reports of additional children.

Reflecting on fatherhood, Jacob has been clear about his intentions. “Me being able to be a father is an opportunity that I get to do and recreate my own story—I ain’t gonna leave my baby,” he stated. He’s shared touching footage of Sunset video-chatting with her grandfather from prison, captioning it “Sunset talking to her G-Pops #FreeBigSuge.”

Relationship With His Incarcerated Father

Perhaps the most complex aspect of Jacob’s personal life is his relationship with his father. Suge Knight Sr. is serving a 28-year sentence at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego following his 2018 plea deal for voluntary manslaughter. The charges stemmed from a January 2015 incident where Knight struck and killed businessman Terry Carter with his truck during an altercation outside a Compton restaurant.

For approximately three years following a 2016 communication ban, Jacob couldn’t contact his father at all. Love & Listings documented their first phone call after restrictions lifted, a poignant moment where Suge Sr. advised his son to put his heart into real estate and be the best at it.

Despite everything, Jacob has consistently defended his father publicly. “My dad was a superhero to me,” he told Billboard in July 2019. “I’m bringing light to my family name and showing that there’s a different side to my father.” He’s expressed concern about his father’s health issues in prison, including reports of blood clots and vision problems.

The Tupac Controversy

In October 2018, Jacob sparked controversy by claiming on Instagram that Tupac Shakur was alive and living in Malaysia, posting photoshopped images of the late rapper. He later admitted in a July 2019 interview that the stunt gained him 200,000 followers within two days. Jacob partially backtracked, stating “Tupac’s my godfather” and claiming he meant no disrespect to Tupac’s family, though the controversy drew criticism from fans who felt he was exploiting the rapper’s legacy for attention.
