Bella Ebinum is a Nigerian actress and model who has appeared in over 70 films since breaking into Nollywood in 2014. Born on October 14, 1990, in Warri, Delta State, she’s now 35. Beyond acting, she’s launched her own cosmetics brand and won major industry awards in 2019.
Biography
Bella Nwanneka Ebinum was born in Warri but traces her roots to Kwale, both in Delta State. She’s the firstborn and only daughter in a family of three children, with two younger brothers. Her parents raised the family in the Jehovah’s Witness faith. Her father worked as an accountant (reportedly at Shell), while her mother served as both a nurse and a preacher.
She attended Cambridge International School in Warri for both her primary and secondary education. During secondary school, she developed her passion for performing arts through drama, stage plays, and theatre arts. She proceeded to the University of Port Harcourt in Rivers State, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 2013. She completed her National Youth Service Corps programme in 2015.
Career
Bella’s entry into Nollywood came through actress and producer Elo Obokia (Miss Delta State 2007). After seeing Obokia on Africa Magic, Bella reached out, expressing her desire to enter the industry. Obokia advised her that the action was happening in Asaba, the hub of Nollywood’s Igbo-language film industry. Bella relocated immediately, and Obokia introduced her to film directors.
Her professional debut came with “Deceptive Act” in 2014, followed by “Negative Influence” and its sequel. She progressed from minor supporting roles to leading parts, becoming known for playing diverse characters, including housewives, royal princesses, girlfriends, and maids in drama and action genres.
Her filmography includes Royal Wedding, Island Babes, War for Limpopo, Journey to Homeland, Twisted Love, Afraid to Fall, Irony of Life, Broken Reed, Chinelo the Goddess, Twist of Destiny, Family House, Clouds of Conspiracy, Fire of Love, and Last Man Standing. She also appeared in the TV series “Bankole’s House.”
Recent projects include “When Love Beckons” (2021), “My Ex” (2022) where she played Joy, “Fate of My Home” (2023) as Tessy, and “Forbidden Cave” (January 2025) as Anita. She’s worked alongside major Nollywood stars including Yul Edochie, Zubby Michael, Ken Erics, Chizzy Alichi, Ngozi Ezeonu, Charles Inojie, Ebele Okaro, and Jerry Williams.
In 2019, she won two awards: Most Outstanding Niger Delta Nollywood Actress of the Year, and Next Rated Actress at the Nigeria Women Achievers Awards. Her Instagram bio now lists her as “Actor, Producer, Economist,” and her LinkedIn profile shows affiliation with Nollywood Entertainment Ltd as of 2024.
Business Ventures
Bella is the founder and CEO of Bella’s Secret, a cosmetics and skincare brand that she actively promotes on social media. She also runs the Bella Global Humanitarian Foundation, a non-profit organisation focused on promoting the well-being of vulnerable people, particularly children and women. Additionally, she’s worked as a brand ambassador for Zaron Cosmetics, a Nigerian makeup brand.
Personal Life
Bella remains unmarried as of 2025 but has described herself as being in a “committed and private relationship.” She deliberately avoids showcasing her partner on social media.
In a January 2023 interview with Punch’s Sunday Scoop, she stated she wouldn’t leave a relationship solely because her partner cheats, explaining that “men don’t cheat on a woman because of love, they just cheat.” She’s also stated she would “never walk into a loveless relationship” regardless of what it could offer financially.
Net Worth
Bella Ebinum’s net worth is estimated at approximately $100,000.
In 2019, she acquired a Mercedes-Benz valued at millions of naira, documented on Nairaland as her “initiation into the Benz Gang.” No additional property or vehicle acquisitions have been publicly reported since then.
