His first hit record ‘Casper Slide Pt.1’ also known as ‘Cha Cha Slide’ was created for his nephew, who worked in 1988 as a personal trainer for Bally Total Fitness.

Was DJ Casper Sick?
Perry was diagnosed with neuroendocrine and kidney cancer in January 2016. He began chemotherapy after a surgery that wasn’t successful that same month.
In an interview, he discussed his health issues with ABC7’s Samantha Chatman, saying, ‘I’ve gotten sick of the song a long time ago, but I don’t get sick of people enjoying themselves’.
His words continued, ‘Anyone who’s going through cancer, just know that you have cancer and cancer does not have you’.
Cause of Death
It is so sad that our famous DJ was diagnosed in 2016, the result was out and it was renal and neuroendocrine cancer. He mentioned to the television station that embarking on surgery was what the doctors had as an option to save Casper’s life. Still, it was hindered when they discovered the kidney connected to his artery. It was resolved that they would treat it in place of the surgery.
After a long battle with cancer, the music lord gave up the ghost on Monday, the 7th of August, 2023. His death was announced by his wife, Kimberly.
For a well-lived life, he was survived by his family, friends and colleagues.
